Additional alignment information

The steering system on every car is very important and requires regular maintenance to keep it at an optimum standard. The steering rack on all motor vehicles is easily knocked out of alignment by all the speed humps and potholes in the road. When the wheel alignment becomes out of tolerance the tyres will wear unevenly on either edge of the side walls.

Noticeable signs of wheel imbalance to look out for are:

Steering wheel is off-set when the vehicle is travelling in a straight line
The vehicle may drift/pull to the left or right
The front tyres will wear bald or show signs of uneven wear on either edge

If any of these faults are present on your vehicle we strongly recommend you have your wheel alignment checked and adjusted if necessary, as soon as possible

Wheel Alignment

Incorrect alignment can result in rapid irregular tyre wear and can even affect the handling and safety of the vehicle.

Wheel alignment can be affected by driving against a kerb, hitting a pothole in the road or by excessive wear to steering or suspension components. Alignment of wheels and tyres to the specification required by your vehicle is an important way to guarantee a smooth ride and to get the most out of your tyres.

TP only sealant approved for underground mining operations

New Approval makes TP the only sealant in the world to be approved for underground mining operations.

Tyre Protector has recently undergone stringent laboratory testing by the chemical and mechanical engineering department of the Mining Safety Technology Centre, NSW, Australia. It was also tested by Warrington Fire Research in the UK and conformed to the UK Naval Engineering standard 02-713(NES713). The tests were to confirm the suitability and safety of Tyre Protector Sealants for use in underground mining operations in Australia where the safety requirements are considered to be the highest in the world. The tests confirmed that the toxicity and combustion levels of the product meet all of the stipulated safety requirements.

New Latin America development manager

(March 7th, 2008): Alvaro Moreno has been appointed Business Development Manager for Tyre Protector Las Americas, based in Panama.

Alvaro comes to Tyre Protector from a Marketing and Advertising background and with automotive experience. He will be responsible for sales, distribution, marketing and business development of Tyre Protector throughout the region including providing guidance, support and assistance to customers.

Alvaro has already completed Tyre Protector training with Colin Jones , Technical Director of Tyre Protector and in addition some general Tire training from experts in the field.
