Before I tell you about my experiences in Nigeria, I would like to thank Kevin for his contribution to this section of our web site. He has posted some interesting information which I will seriously consider about country manager get togethers and has asked for your help and advice in what to expect from his new business. I hope he receives a response from his request!!!!
I arrived back in the UK on Friday the 20th after attending the 2nd launch and training in Nigeria. I arrived in Lagos at 0500hrs on the 13th where I was met by our country manager John Fashanu. We flew together to Benin and travelled from there by road to Asaba in Delta State. The new state manager chief Vincent had arranged the launch on the 14th followed by three days training on the 15th, 16th and 17th. The launch was well attended and included a visit from the Lagos state manager Kayode Thomas and his business partner Titi. The launch was a huge success as was the training and we now have over 80 trained technicians in Nigeria. Chief Vincent made an excellent job of the arrangements and hospitality, Kayode supported me during the training and John was a delightful host. I have not had an opportunity of spending time with John before and it was an absolute pleasure to get to know him a lot better and recognise the value of his profile to Tyre Protector. During my stay we gave no less than 5 television interviews including a 45 minute live slot on breakfast television with live phone ins. Exposure of this magnitude is usually very expensive but Johns high profile makes anything possible. This will undoubtedly have a significant impact on the development of sales in Nigeria and the rest of the world as the story spreads
