Seeing the Tyre Protector business develop, I truly believe that Nigeria, potentially is one of the biggest markets in the world along side China and India. When I started this project I was a 100% sure that Franchising was the way forward, sadly I and my advisers were wrong, by even using the name Franchise people expect so much from you and they end up wanting your blood, trying to make your millions from Franchise fees is the wrong approach in this business, as this project is based on high volume low profit margin.

I believe State Managers or Distributors are a much easier way forward and they don’t expect so much. TP Nigeria will try and provide a TP vehicle, Compressor, and a limited amount of tools and the solution as a starter pack, then we know our State managers are ready to go, as Paul has recently said we now have over 80 Tyre Protector trainees in Nigeria and the roll out has been explosive.

Today has been an exceptionally good day as I have just finished my second meeting with the head of Mobil Petrol stations for the whole country, with over 700 hundred stations; subject to contract I think we have an agreement. I would like to encourage all state Managers to contribute to the Country Managers private news area, even though most of us just don’t have time, with the influx of Emails and the normal problems that go with every business it can be difficult to respond, please Paul don’t look at it as people letting you down, it is just that we are so busy with the Tyre Protector business, which must be good news for you if it results in more orders.

As regards the Country Managers meeting I think it is a fantastic idea, as this will provide a forum where we can all meet and discuss ways of helping each other and ensuring that any problems or difficulties peculiar to our country can be discussed and probable solutions put forward.
